2005
With its roots indisputably in the 1960s yet a clear affirmation of modern form, the "Berker K.1" combines the best of both worlds. Thanks to its puristic design and extreme versatility, it can be used almost anywhere. On show from 2005 onwards in upmarket homes and offices.
Classical form in stainless steel: "Berker K.5"
It is the stainless steel version of the classical design "Berker K.1".
2006
The time-tested material known as thermosetting plastic is a classic in the world of electrical engineering. With its sleek, rectilinear approach to design, the "Berker S.1" switch range, which has received numerous design awards, has developed into an indispensable standard product. Until now, its timeless and functional design was available only in matt finished thermoplastic. From now on, the "Berker S.1" range will also be available in a glossy thermosetting plastic.
2007
"Berker TS Sensor" – the new generation of sensory switching: a light touch on the fine glass surface is all that is needed to operate light, blinds and much more. Almost flush with the wall, the "Berker TS Sensor" is design reduced to the essential.
2008
Two ground-breaking Berker series receive the Design Plus Award at the Frankfurt show for their outstanding and innovative design. Whilst the glamorous "Berker TS Crystal Ball" features sparkling Swarovski crystals and a sensitive optical reflection sensor, the classic, simple porcelain rotary switch "Berker 1930 Porzellan made by Rosenthal" is a journey back in time to the Bauhaus era.
